On June 21, 1908, Artie Willian Jarnagin was born in Graham, Young County, Texas to Ora Ribble and Will Jarnagin. People called her Willian. She was the second child of five children that Ora and Will had. Two of the girls, Sue, born April 5, 1905, and Mary, born February 3, 1912, died. Sue Adalyne Jarnagin was born first and died before any of the other children were born. Mary Lee Jarnagin was born when Willian was four and died when she was around six, so all the children remembered her. Willian’s father was a rancher and her mother was a housewife tending to Willian, Maurie, her younger sister, and Clark her younger brother.

She grew up in Graham and attended Graham schools. She attended Hardin-Simmons University as did both her siblings and many of her first cousins. Willian was a teacher. She and Clark were roommates in Abilene while he was at the university. July 18, 1937 she married Jay GRADY Wright in Graham.

Willian Jarnagin Wright died on January 21, 2002. She is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas by Grady.
